Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced test prep tutors to provide one-on-one online instruction for high school, college, and graduate students, as well as professionals preparing for industry certifications. As a SiSTEM tutor, you will help students navigate complex test formats, strengthen subject knowledge, and implement effective test-taking strategies

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct engaging, personalized online tutoring sessions focused on test preparation
• Develop customized study plans tailored to student needs and target scores
• Teach test-taking strategies, time management techniques, and problem-solving approaches
• Track and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
• Maintain regular communication with students and the SiSTEM team
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and testing requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience in any of the following standardized exams:
  • College Entrance Exams: SAT, ACT
  • Graduate & Professional Exams: GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, PCAT, OAT, DAT
• AP & IB Exams: AP Math, AP Science, AP English, AP History, AP Psychology, IB Exams
• Medical & Nursing Exams: NCLEX, TEAS, USMLE
• Trade & Certification Exams: Medical Coding, Pharmacy Technician, Dental Assistant, Medical Assistant
• Tech & Industry Certifications: CompTIA, Cisco, AWS, Microsoft, PMP
• State Teaching Exams: Math, Science, or CTE subject certifications
• Strong knowledge of test content, structure, and scoring methodologies
• Excellent digital communication and virtual teaching skills using Zoom or Google Meet
• Proficiency with online learning platforms and educational technology
• Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace for virtual sessions

Preferred Qualifications:

• High standardized test scores in the subject(s) you tutor
• Experience with adaptive test prep strategies for students with learning differences
• Teaching certification or formal training in test preparation
• Experience with online tutoring platforms
• Multilingual capabilities (especially Spanish)
