Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about numbers? We're looking for a dedicated Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, in-person environment and thrives on accuracy, efficiency, and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable: Manage the entire accounts payable process, including verification, coding, data entry, payment approvals, and maintaining detailed records.
Payroll Processing: Administer payroll on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring accuracy in timesheets and documentation. Address payroll-related inquiries promptly.
Financial Support: Assist with financial reconciliations, inventory adjustments, and raw material purchase orders.
Vendor & Employee Support: Respond to inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests while resolving discrepancies.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
Administrative Tasks: Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, mailing, and front desk support when needed.
Project Assistance: Contribute to software implementations and special accounting projects as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
2+ years in accounts payable and payroll processing (required).
Experience with financial concepts and bookkeeping (preferred).
NetSuite experience is a plus.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience in construction or manufacturing industries is a plus.
