Accounting Assistant

Fleetwood, PA

• Provide bookkeeping and accounting support to a thriving construction business
• Coordinate payroll and apply labor hours to the correct project
• Track payroll data for prevailing wage jobs
• Oversee Accounts Payable – by entering invoices, attaching them to the correct project, and processing payments via ACH or check
• Coordinate Accounts Receivable – generating invoices and applying payments
• Assist with the month-end close process – including bank reconciliations and generating reports
• Work closely with our controller to ensure all financial data is accurate
• Support the team by taking on additional administrative tasks as needed

We specialize in industrial and commercial projects, including concrete work, footers, heavy highway construction, bridge work, and wastewater treatment foundations. We seek an experienced Accounting Assistant/bookkeeper to join our team. Our Ideal Accounting Assistant:

• Experienced: 2+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience OR an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Previous experience with payroll is required. Experience working in the construction industry is a plus.
• Computer Savvy: Experience using Microsoft Office365, Adobe, and accounting/bookkeeping software. Ability to learn our construction software (ComputerEase).
• Accurate: Strong attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills, and a strong aptitude for numbers. A commitment to financial accuracy.
• Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Friendly with a positive attitude. Can build strong relationships while handling customer and vendor questions & concerns professionally.
• Self-motivated: Assesses the work required and has the initiative to get started; diligently drives tasks to completion.
• Confidential: Understands the importance of confidentiality when working with payroll and other employee and company data.
