Responsibilities

As a Sales and Marketing Manager, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Driving Company Growth: Spearheading initiatives to expand our client base and elevate our brand presence in the market. You'll be responsible for achieving sales and revenue targets.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Leading and mentoring our sales and marketing teams, providing guidance, and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Marketing Strategy Development: Formulating comprehensive marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, lead generation, and client acquisition. You will oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, content, and collateral.

Within our growing Sales and Marketing department, you’ll report to our Leadership team, work closely with our Sales and Marketing teams, and collaborate with other departments on a regular basis. We communicate through Slack, manage tasks and projects through Teamwork, and organize files in Google Workspace.

As the Sales and Marketing Manager, your primary KPI is revenue growth. This metric tracks the increase in revenue generated through successful sales and marketing efforts. It encompasses the collective success of the entire team.

A Day In The Life of a Sales & Marketing Manager

Your typical day involves strategic planning, team management, and overseeing sales and marketing initiatives. You lead our efforts to expand our client base and help businesses succeed online through our digital marketing solutions.

  • Strategic Planning: Begin your day by reviewing your strategic plan. This includes assessing the progress of ongoing campaigns, analyzing data, and identifying areas for improvement. Adjust your strategy based on data-driven insights.
  • Team Coordination: Meet with your sales and marketing teams to discuss the day's priorities and set clear objectives. Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
  • Lead Generation: Dive into lead generation efforts, which may involve identifying potential clients, researching prospects, and strategizing ways to expand your client base. Consider targeted outreach to high-potential leads.
  • Campaign Oversight: Monitor the progress of marketing campaigns, ensuring they are on track and align with your strategic goals. Collaborate with your marketing team to refine campaign strategies and messaging.
  • Sales Performance Analysis: Review sales performance metrics and analyze the effectiveness of your sales team's efforts. Identify areas where additional training or support is needed and celebrate successes.
  • Marketing Content Review: Take a close look at marketing content, including blog posts, social media updates, email campaigns, and website content. Ensure that all content aligns with brand messaging and resonates with the target audience.
  • Team Development: Invest in the growth and development of your team members. Provide coaching, conduct training sessions, and set career development goals to enhance their skills.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the budget for sales and marketing activities. Ensure that spending is in line with strategic objectives and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Report Generation: Prepare reports on sales and marketing performance, highlighting key metrics and achievements. Share these reports with the Leadership team to keep them informed of departmental progress.
