Job Summary:

Booz Allen Hamilton International (U.K.) Ltd is seeking a Junior AI Engineer to join their AI Delivery team supporting the U.S. Air Force. The role involves designing, building, and deploying AI solutions to address complex operational challenges, while collaborating with experienced professionals in the field.

Responsibilities:

• Help design, build, and deploy AI solutions that tackle complex operational problems.

• Experiment with state-of-the-art machine learning (ML) models, evaluate their performance, and integrate them into production systems that support warfighter decision-making.

• Apply foundational models, fine-tune LLMs, or contribute to custom solutions.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Experience with ML, deep learning, or data science

• Knowledge of Python and ML frameworks, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn

• Ability to analyze data, train and evaluate models, and explain results clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field

Preferred:

• Experience with deploying ML models using Docker, FastAPI, or MLflow, working on team-based software projects, or using version control, such as Git

• Knowledge of responsible AI principles, LLMs, or MLOps best practices

• Ability to contribute to a cross-functional technical team, take initiative in exploring new tools, and adapt quickly to shifting priorities

• Secret clearance

• Master’s degree in a related field

• CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, or similar certification
