As an online English teacher, you will teach children aged 3 to 18, primarily based in Asia. Position Details:
Job Title: Online English Teacher
Employment Type: Remote, Part-Time
Target Students: Children aged 3-18 (Asia-based)
Class Type: One-on-one lessons (25 minutes per session)
Teaching Method: Total Physical Response (TPR) to ensure engagement and interaction
Start Date: Immediate openings available
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective one-on-one English lessons for students aged 3-18
Use TPR methods to maintain student engagement and comprehension
Follow a structured curriculum and utilize provided teaching materials
Create a fun, interactive, and supportive learning environment
Maintain punctuality and preparedness for each class
Open a minimum of 10 peak hours per week to accommodate student schedules
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (preferred fields: Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, English, or Literature)
A valid teaching license or certification from a recognized US or Canadian educational institution or teaching association
At least 1 year of teaching experience in a public or international school setting
Ability to effectively teach using Total Physical Response (TPR) methods
Energetic, approachable, and committed to student success
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in a remote setting
Technical Requirements:
Computer:
Windows: Intel Core i5 2.3 GHz or higher
Mac: MacBook Pro/iMac (post-2016) or MacBook Air (post-2020)
Minimum 8GB RAM
Internet: Stable fiber connection with at least 50 Mbps bandwidth (minimum 10 Mbps download speed)
Equipment: Noise-canceling headset, HD web camera, and a clean, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM (Beijing Time)
Saturday to Sunday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM (Beijing Time)
Teachers must be available for a minimum of 10 peak hours per week
