Are you ready to lead impactful bridge and structural projects? This role offers the opportunity to design, analyze, and manage the construction and maintenance of critical infrastructure—such as bridges, buildings, and dams—that supports community growth and connectivity. The ideal candidate will bring technical excellence, innovation, and leadership to every phase of project execution.
Lead bridge design efforts, including load rating, structural analysis, and foundation design
Prepare comprehensive design plans, technical specifications, reports, and cost estimates
Provide technical guidance during construction, including responding to contractor questions and performing site visits to ensure adherence to design intent
Conduct bridge and culvert inspections and produce related field reports
Ensure all designs comply with applicable safety standards, codes, and regulations
Maintain organized records of project design documents, schedules, and budget information
Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, and permitting/regulatory agencies
Review internal design work for technical accuracy and ensure quality control
Participate in regular project meetings and collaborate with internal teams to meet project deadlines and budget goals
Mentor and provide technical direction to junior engineering staff
Assist Project Manager with presentations, scheduling, and execution of project development tasks
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred)
Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one
10–15 years of transportation infrastructure experience with an emphasis on structural/bridge design
Proficiency with MicroStation, STAAD, and bridge design software preferred
Familiarity with NYSDOT and/or PennDOT standards and procedures required
Commitment to delivering high-quality, technically sound engineering solutions
Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and ownership of assigned work
Ability to think critically and solve complex engineering problems
Attention to detail while balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Receptiveness to feedback and continuous improvement
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Salary Range: $100,000 – $130,000 annually
