Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and motivated Business Development Manager / Director, DP&C (Discovery, Preclinical & CMC) to join our team. In this role, you will manage and cultivate key business relationships, representing our organization as the preferred contract research organization (CRO) for prospective clients, while actively promoting our integrated drug discovery and CMC capabilities.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain profitable business relationships with partners, positioning us as the CRO of choice through our fully integrated services. You will work closely with clients and scientific leaders to ensure expectations are met and exceeded, fostering long-term, successful partnerships.

Business development is a critical function within our organization. In this role, you will regularly engage with scientific leaders in the pharmaceutical industry, helping to navigate the complexities of drug discovery and development. Your focus will be on promoting our integrated drug discovery and CMC solutions to potential partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Meet and exceed sales and profit targets, driving business growth and profitability.
Cultivate and manage professional relationships with clients, particularly senior management teams.
Stay well-informed about our services and offerings to engage in meaningful discussions with clients.
Collaborate with scientific teams to ensure client expectations are realistic, helping to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
Identify and capitalize on cross-selling opportunities in collaboration with other business development team members.
Contribute to developing a compelling value proposition that makes our organization an attractive choice for clients.
Represent the company professionally, positioning us as a reliable partner capable of delivering high-quality solutions, converting inquiries into profitable contracts.
Work closely with scientific teams to prepare business proposals and presentations that can be converted into successful contracts.
Leverage market intelligence to support strategic decision-making within the organization.
Support and mentor the broader business development team, contributing to special projects as needed.
Requirements:

A Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field (PhD preferred).
A minimum of 10 years' experience in a scientific lab environment within the industry.
Deep knowledge and experience in drug discovery and development.
Business development experience within the CRO industry is highly advantageous.
Strong understanding of the CRO and pharmaceutical markets.
Excellent commercial acumen, presentation skills, and business analytical abilities.
Outstanding interpersonal, networking, and relationship management skills.
Highly organized, solution-oriented, and resilient with a strategic mindset.
