Western Slope In-Home Care provides home care services to Medicaid, VA, LTC insurance, and private pay clients who want to remain independent and live in their own homes. Responsibilities * Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating * Remind clients to take prescribed medication * Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.) * Assist with personal care and hygiene * Plan and prepare meals * Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so * Perform housekeeping duties * Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency * Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary Ideal Candidates will:

• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Promote personal safety and a safe environment for clients.
• Maintain compliance with agency policy, procedures, and job requirements.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• CNA a plus but not required.
• 1 year of caregiver experience is preferred but not required.

Caregivers work in the privacy of each patient’s home allowing you more time one-on-one to get to know your patient and provide quality care. This support also empowers the patient to remain as independent and comfortable as possible at home. COVID-19 considerations: We provide infection control training, PPE training, and a gear bag at orientation.
