Job Description

Job Title: Catholic Pianist

Location: Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point Memorial Chapel, Building 100 E Street, Cherry Point, NC 28533

Type of Job: Part-time Position.

Schedule:

Sundays: 0830 – 1030 for Divine Worship
Additional support for non-routine Chapel programs/special services as determined.

Duties:

Accompany and provide musical direction for Roman Catholic Mass every Sunday and Holy Days of Obligation.
Provide accompaniment and musical direction for special Catholic observances including Holy Days, Christmas, Lent, and Easter services.
Provide musical support for the mid-week Roman Catholic choir rehearsal for a minimum of 60 minutes per week.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of Catholic music and religious service organizations.
Minimum of two years experience as a pianist.
Individual shall be able to play a wide variety of music from traditional church hymns to contemporary church music in order to support all Catholic services and the service portions of Mass.
