Job Description

Commercial Journeyman Electrician 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team, specializing in commercial new build/construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance in commercial environments. This role requires adherence to safety standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on commercial construction sites.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems and components, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and participate in safety training and meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Electrician License required (TDLR)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial electrical work, specifically in new build/construction environments.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and control systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Compensation:

  • $28-$32 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications.
