Summary: 
Join our dynamic Legal Team as Corporate Counsel and play a key role in supporting our global business units! In this versatile, generalist position, you'll work across a wide range of legal areas, partnering closely with our General Counsel to help drive smart, strategic decisions across the company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Advise on day-to-day legal affairs, various domestic and cross-border transactions, contracts, compliance, and corporate matters, ensuring operational and regulatory compliance. 

  • Provide actionable and sound legal advice, prepare reports, and make recommendations to management on a variety of legal issues. 

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements (e.g. NDAs, SaaS agreements, development agreements) from both the supplier and customer perspective. 

  • Ensure compliance with applicable US and international regulatory frameworks, e.g. REACH, RoHS, Export Administration Regulations, PFAS, etc. 

  • Develop and implement internal compliance policies and procedures. 

  • Support antitrust, trade, and environmental compliance, pre-litigation, dispute resolution, government inquiries and investigations, settlement matters, and handle other specialized matters with the assistance of external counsel resources. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide integrated and comprehensive legal guidance. 

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in relevant laws and regulations. 

Other Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provide strategic legal leadership to help ensure the organization is legally savvy and risk-aware. Empower managers across the business with a solid legal foundation, enabling them to understand and proactively manage legal risks in their areas. 

  • Partner closely with the General Counsel and key stakeholders to lead critical legal initiatives, such as contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, ESG matters, and more. 

  • Deliver impactful legal training and coaching to team members, ensuring they’re well-versed in relevant laws, regulations, company policies, and internal processes. 

  • Collaborate with the Executive Team and business unit leaders to support strategic planning, drive execution, and foster cohesive leadership across the organization. 

Qualifications



Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school in the United States is required. 

  • License to practice law in New York is required. 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate law firms and/or in-house legal departments, preferably with a multinational company. 

  • Pragmatic, hands-on, solutions-oriented lawyer who is able to think on their feet and find sensible solutions to legal challenges; able to assess issues, take ownership, and efficiently implement solutions. 

  • Ability to influence others without direct line management oversight. Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills – able to win trust and develop business relationships. 

  • Ability to collaborate with multicultural teams and companies operating across different time zones; some travel may be required. 

  • Forward thinking mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects independently. 

  • Professional presence and integrity. 

Additional Information



For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $100,000 – $145,000 per year.   In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 10%. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
