Job Description

St. Patrick Catholic Church is seeking a creative, energetic, and passionate individual for a director-level position. This role involves using writing, editing, and design skills to enhance parish marketing and communication, ultimately fostering greater community engagement with the gospel. The ideal candidate will think strategically and have experience working collaboratively with professional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Develop and implement the parish strategic communication plan.
  • Serve as the church's brand manager, responsible for safeguarding how the church's brand is portrayed in all communications pieces, including (but not limited to) print, email, social media, web, mobile app, etc.
  • Utilize available media to share stories about how our church is impacting the community through traditional and non-traditional communication efforts.
  • Create, edit, and proofread weekly Bulletin, working with staff and volunteers to communicate what is needed in a timely manner.
  • Create, edit, proofread, and send a Weekly Parish Email.
  • Manage all parish event promotion, working with staff members, ministry leaders, and volunteers to ensure event success.
  • Maintain parish website and virtual communication.
  • Manage the St. Pat's social media presence
  • Edit and upload weekly Sunday Homily publication on Soundcloud, YouTube, and Parish Website.
  • Create and order all Parish Print needs, including banners, flyers, posters, pew inserts, and more.
  • Oversee and manage the communication budget
  • Help ensure all content is technically effective, grammatically correct, doctrinally accurate, and within the church's vision and brand framework.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of two years experience in marketing, public relations, or a related field.
  • General graphic design skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Experience in photography (and videography preferred)
  • Proficiency in managing corporate social media accounts.
  • Experience developing and maintaining brand standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and design.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Creative thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
