Job Description



Feeding San Diego is a non-profit organization on a mission to connect every person facing hunger with nutritious meals by maximizing food rescue. Established in 2007, Feeding San Diego rescues surplus food from local and national food donors before it goes to waste and gets it to people facing hunger in San Diego County. It is the only Feeding America partner food bank in the region.

Job Description



We are seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Supply Chain to join our team in San Diego, United States. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our entire supply chain operations, driving efficiency, and supporting our company's growth objectives.

  • Develop and implement innovative supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of supply chain professionals
  • Optimize inventory management, logistics, and distribution processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance demand forecasting and production planning
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and partners
  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics and implement data-driven improvements
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure business continuity
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function
  • Oversee the implementation and utilization of supply chain technologies and ERP systems
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful supply chain strategies
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain best practices, including inventory management, logistics, and demand forecasting
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain technologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Outstanding leadership and team management abilities
  • Strong project management and risk management skills
  • Proficiency in cost optimization and vendor management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional certifications such as APICS CSCP or CPSM are preferred
  • Experience in global supply chain operations
  • Industry-specific knowledge relevant to our organization's sector

PAY & HOURS

$90,000 - $110,000

Hybrid - M, T, TH in FSD office and W & F optional remote
