Job Description

Gensco has an exciting opportunity for a  Distribution Center Manager to lead our Team at our new Southern Distribution Center in Salem, Oregon !


Schedule - Monday-Friday
Full Time - starting pay range $95,000-$122,000 annually based on experience 

Summary

  • Accountable for the safe, error and damage free completion of all warehouse activities
  • Responsible for maintaining the company’s customer service standards, inventory accuracy, and the accuracy of all customer and branch transactions in the DC
  • Assist in the identification and evaluation of areas for operational improvement within the distribution center and strive to maximize efficiency and service within the DC
  • Manage projects, resources, and assets in DC to include automation systems


Education/Experience/Skills

  • 4-year college degree preferred
  • 5+ years of exempt level management experience
  • Education and experience in industrial distribution preferred
  • Excellent understanding of delivery system from a distribution center to multiple locations
  • Experience in managing and motivating a team of people to excellent results
  • Demonstrated understanding of distribution processes, excellent customer service standards, and general warehousing principles
  • Ability to implement continuous improvement activities while maintaining an efficient flow of the existing daily work
  • Customer service-oriented approach; respond to requests with a sense of urgency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Able to organize people and promote teamwork
  • Works well across all levels of the organization
  • Strong time management skills, ability to prioritize and follow through
  • Attentive to detail, tolerant of multiple priorities, and possess good organizational skills
  • Able to establish priorities and make appropriate decisions
