Job Title : EHR Business Analyst
Location : Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with clinical staff, healthcare administrators, and IT teams to gather and analyze business and system requirements for the EHR system. Translate these requirements into functional specifications.
- Support the planning and implementation of EHR solutions. Collaborate with IT teams to configure and optimize the EHR system to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
- Analyze existing healthcare workflows and processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend system modifications to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Use data analytics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvements in EHR usage. Prepare reports for leadership, offering insights and actionable recommendations.
- Assist in system testing and validation to ensure that EHR configurations meet functional requirements and are free of errors. Support end-user testing to ensure system readiness.
- Assist in the development and delivery of user training materials, providing support to end-users during EHR implementation and ongoing usage.
- Act as the primary point of contact between clinical teams, IT, and external vendors. Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure successful system integration.
- Ensure that the EHR system complies with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH), clinical standards, and interoperability requirements.
- Maintain thorough documentation of business requirements, system configurations, process workflows, and testing results.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience as a Business Analyst in healthcare or with EHR system implementation and support.
- Experience with major EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, etc.).
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and patient care processes.
- Proficient in requirements gathering, data analysis, and process improvement methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to translate business needs into functional EHR specifications.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH) and industry standards (HL7, ICD-10).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clinical staff, IT professionals, and leadership.
- Experience with data visualization tools and reporting software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel).
- Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or equivalent.
- Experience in clinical informatics or healthcare IT.
- Familiarity with EHR optimization and workflow redesign.
- Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Understanding of interoperability standards and healthcare data exchange (e.g., FHIR).
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
