Role- ETL Tester

Locations- Columbus, OH (Locals Only)

Duration- 6+ Months (CTH)

Exp Level- 6+ Yrs

USC/GC/GC-EAD/H4

Note- Should be banking domain experience needed.

Skills- ETL technologies and tools: including AWS, Snowflake, Snowsight, DataStage, Python/PySpark, ASG Zena, Infogix, Tableau, Azure DevOps, Mainframe and SharePoint.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced ETL Tester to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and performance of our ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing data pipelines, validating data transformations, and ensuring the correctness of data migration between systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute ETL test cases to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
Analyze source-to-target mappings (STMs) and ensure data consistency across multiple systems.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and integrity checks.
Work closely with ETL developers, database administrators, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure quality delivery.
Conduct performance testing to ensure optimized ETL jobs.
Identify and document defects, track them to closure, and work with development teams for resolution.
Automate ETL test cases using scripting languages and testing tools.
Validate data warehouse / data lake implementations and ensure adherence to business requirements.
Generate test reports and present findings to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

3-8 years of experience in ETL / Data Warehouse testing.
Strong knowledge of SQL and ability to write complex queries for data validation.
Hands-on experience with ETL testing tools like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, etc.
Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos is a plus.
Experience with test automation using Python, Selenium, or any relevant tools.
Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) is a plus.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
Hands-on experience with ETL frameworks and data modeling.

Certification in ETL or data testing tools is a plus.
