Job Title: Firmware Engineer
Job Description We are seeking a Firmware Engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering or an electrical engineer with substantial experience in firmware development. This role involves working in an embedded Linux environment and will focus on supporting test infrastructure, lab diagnosis, and troubleshooting failures.
Responsibilities - Assist with APEX Infrastructure Support by addressing bug fixes, enhancing code coverage through unit testing, and developing automated testing procedures in C++ and Python.
- Contribute to APEX Feature Additions by adding new features in collaboration with a strong existing team.
- Support the ETHOS Project by resolving bugs and configuration issues.
- Provide General Infrastructure Support, including pipeline execution, hardware lab setup, and testing infrastructure, to support QA and DevOps teams.
Essential Skills - Proficiency in C/C++ and firmware development.
- Experience with RTOS, particularly Zephyr.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering concepts, including voltage for testing.
- Capability to troubleshoot failures in firmware.
- Experience in an embedded Linux environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications - Experience with project maintenance procedures and infrastructure.
- Ability to contribute to a team with limited bandwidth.
- Contract position with potential for extension or full-time employment based on performance.
Work Environment This position is based in a hybrid work environment in Broomfield, with onsite work required four days a week, totaling 40 hours. The role offers meaningful work in a life safety and protection context, with opportunities to interact with multiple departments and contribute to a significant and ambitious roadmap.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Broomfield, Colorado.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $80.00/hr.
