Location : We are seeking Part Time Grill Cooks for Stone Zoo located in Stoneham, MA.

Ho urly: $18-$20

The Stone Zoo is a medium- to small-sized zoo of about 26 acres in Stoneham, Massachusetts. Founded in 1905, the zoo includes low-lying areas densely developed with smaller exhibits for animals as well as rocky forested hillsides devoted to larger habitats for Species Survival Plan programs. Located within 30 minutes of Franklin Park Zoo!

Responsibility:

As a Grill Cook / Chef, you accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot or cold food items for various meals and events. In accordance with current health regulations, you ensure high-quality food is provided. You receive orders or instructions on food and begin preparing and cooking dishes according to these instructions and customer preferences. You prepare ingredients, season items, and taste your cooking to ensure dishes have been properly cooked.

You safely operate a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients. Some of your other duties include keeping records, planning production requirements, requisitioning supplies or equipment, and sanitizing your workstations. As needed, you receive inventory, move stock around, and report accidents or injuries.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Related work experience
• Knowledge about food preparation and familiarity with kitchen equipment
• Ability to use a computer
• Ability to stand for long periods of time as well as reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds
