Job Description

Description of the role: Arlo Chicago is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. As the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the housekeeping department's daily operations. This includes maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the hotel, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and sanitation are consistently met, and managing the housekeeping staff. Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the housekeeping staff, including recruiting, training, and scheduling
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are performed in accordance with established standards and procedures
  • Inspect rooms, public areas, and other hotel facilities to ensure cleanliness and maintenance
  • Handle guest complaints and requests in a prompt and professional manner
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Housekeeping Manager or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to motivate and train a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in housekeeping or hospitality is a plus
