Interior Designer Job in Lower Manhattan, New York

Due to further expansion, a new Intermediate Interior Designer position is available with a high-end design firm in Lower Manhattan, New York. As part of this role, you will focus on high-end residential projects across the globe, working with a talented team of designers and architects. Offering a starting salary of up to $90,000 plus benefits.

The firm has a timeless design aesthetic, influenced by experiences, art, and design. They currently operate from two offices, in New York and one in London, and have completed projects globally. With a strong pipeline of work, our client is now looking for an Interior Designer with 5+ years of industry experience and who shares a passion for unique and exquisite interiors.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist the design team across the full design life cycle from concept to completion
• Produce concept design documents for high-end residential projects (2D, 3D, and hand-sketches)
• Production of design documents across DD, CD sets, and scheduling
• Liaise with fabricators and vendors for bespoke pieces, lighting, and joinery
• FF&E specification and design; keeping up to date on trends.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of industry experience within residential design
• Degree qualified in interior design or similar
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and the Adobe Suite
• Experience producing 2D drawings and 3D renderings
• FF&E specification and procurement experience.
