Your role at GEI. GEI's Bloomfield, NJ office is seeking motivated interns for Summer 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from our team and gain a wide range of experience in the fields of environmental science, geology, or engineering.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties - Assist with analyses and design.
- Perform and observe fieldwork, including observing construction activities.
- Perform computations, prepare spreadsheets, and prepare and edit drawings using AutoCAD.
- Assist with preparing proposals and reports.
- Assist with data management and analysis, and preparation of field documentation and reports.
Minimum Qualifications - Pursuit of a B.S. or M.S. in Environmental Science, Geology, or Environmental, Civil, Geotechnical, Structural, or Waterfront Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years in a technical degree program.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel on assignment, if needed.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to work in the field, as needed.
- Ability to perform field work in active construction sites without restrictions, and in inclement weather, if required.
