Reporting to the CT State Community College Director of Equity and Civil Rights, the Investigator & Compliance Specialist assists with managing day-to-day equal opportunity and civil rights matters, including but not limited to, civil rights investigations, equal employment opportunity compliance, affirmative action, Americans with Disabilities compliance. The Investigator & Compliance Specialist will also contribute to trainings, committees and programs that advance CT State Community College’s initiatives related to equality and inclusion.

Incumbents must possess proven ability to effectively work with a culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and student. They are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.).
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, counseling/social work, human resources, higher education, or a closely related field with three (3) years of professional experience working in civil rights compliance, Title IX, human resources, employee relations, and/or other similar work.
Incumbents are required to have demonstrated advanced knowledge and abilities in the following:
