Job Description

Manager over IT Infrastructure

REMOTE but must be located in Dallas/Ft Worth

$130K-$140K

As a Manager of Information Technology, you will lead innovative IT strategies and solutions to drive our organization's success. You will oversee technology operations, manage a talented IT team, including the End User Support group, and ensure seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies. Your expertise will be key in enhancing our IT infrastructure and supporting our mission to excel in the digital age.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the IT department's daily operations and end user support and provide strategic direction for technology initiatives.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure data security and system integrity.
  • Manage IT budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to optimize cost-efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and fostering professional growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address technology needs and support business objectives.
  • Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and software applications.
  • Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, and hardware.
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of IT systems and implement improvements as needed.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of IT services.
  • Stay updated on emerging technology trends and assess their potential benefits for the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO.
  • Coordinate disaster recovery planning and business continuity efforts to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Facilitate training and support for end-users to maximize the efficient use of technology resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
  • Proven experience in managing IT teams and projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement IT strategies and solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with budget preparation and management.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing, virtualization, and network management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or relevant technical certifications are a plus.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to stay current with emerging technology trends and industry best practices.
