Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the implementation of several web-based and low-code applications. These applications will be developed by external vendors or internal teams. As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the project's execution, managing resources, and ensuring successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of business cases for new projects, including stakeholder analysis, market research, cost/benefit analysis, and project schedule estimates.
- Manage medium to large-sized projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Coordinate with multiple teams, including IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors, to manage dependencies and ensure smooth project execution.
- Collaborate with senior executives, IT teams, and external resources to define and execute project requirements.
- Oversee the leadership, direction, and management of project teams and vendor-related activities. Report regularly to senior management on project status and key milestones.
- Work closely with vendors to manage project timelines, identify risks, and develop solutions to address potential delays.
- Ensure vendor deliverables are reviewed and approved in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain project documentation in line with PMI's PMBOK, including project budgets, status reports, and all other required project artifacts.
- Monitor day-to-day activities of the project, including tracking project expenses and managing any changes to scope, risks, and schedule.
- Manage internal and external relationships (e.g., agency, federal, vendor, state agencies) to ensure effective project execution and delivery.
- Assist with procurement efforts, including developing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and participating in bid evaluations and contract negotiations.
- Maintain quality assurance throughout the project, ensuring the scope is delivered as agreed.
Skills and Experience Required:
- A results-driven, self-motivated individual with strong IT project management, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, team-building, and change management capabilities.
- Ability to act independently, exercise sound business judgment, and thrive in an environment with diverse communication styles.
- Proven experience managing complex projects with multiple workstreams and competing timelines.
- Experience with low-code technologies such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or ServiceNow is a must.
- Previous experience in healthcare or state government settings is highly preferred.
- Proficient with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Project Server.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office and Teams.
- Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
- Extensive vendor management experience for IT project or system implementation.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, particularly in behavioral health, developmental disabilities, and substance use, is a plus.
- Experience in cost/benefit analysis, market analysis, and developing business case documents.
- Experience with federal application approval processes is highly desirable.
Additional Skills:
- 10 years of project management experience, preferably with large, complex automation projects.
- 7+ years managing IT application/system development and deployment for multiple clients.
- 5+ years of experience with Salesforce, MS Dynamics, and/or ServiceNow.
- 7+ years of experience managing project risks, costs, schedules, and communications.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare-related IT projects.
