Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. Role Purpose

The NBCUniversal Creative Group is seeking a passionate and driven Junior Graphic/Motion Designer who is excited to bring bold ideas to life across a range of creative projects. You will contribute to work that spans events, digital platforms, video, and both consumer-facing and internal communications. You are energized by the chance to explore the full spectrum of visual storytelling from brand identities and environmental design to typography, illustration, and motion graphics. With a sharp eye for detail and a love for design craft, you’re eager to learn new tools and push creative boundaries. Job Duties

  • Utilize graphic & motion design skills to produce internal and external communications
  • Design and execute graphics for digital, video, events, print and on-air assets
  • Initiate and present ideas and thought processes to the team
  • Take direction from, and collaborate with creative leadership to offer multiple visual approaches
  • Support the development of brands and design systems
  • Learn and familiarize yourself with NBCUniversal portfolio brands

Qualifications



Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in design and/or 2+ years of equivalent experience
  • Multi-disciplinary design background with focus on motion graphics, branding & corporate identity
  • Proficient with tools such as After Effects, Premier Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Figma
  • Experience in designing and animating logos, typography, digital assets, etc.
  • Experience in video editing

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of Cinema 4D and/or Blender or any 3D tools a plus
  • Experience in designing for print a plus
  • Solid understanding of design principles such as typography, layouts, grid systems, color theory, hierarchy, etc.
  • Collaborative self-starter with attention to detail
  • Comfortable with learning new design tools in the ever-evolving design field
  • Team-first mentality, with the willingness to take constructive criticism
  • Illustration skills a plus

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the New York City office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
