Job Title : Lab Technician
Location : Bridgewater, NJ
Work schedule: Mon- Fri 8am- 5pm
Compensation: $25.00- $35.00
Type: Contract
 
Overview
Leading consumer good company looking for an entry level Lab Technician. Ideal candidates should have an associates or bachelors degree in a technical field with 0-2 years of industry lab experience. 
 
Requirements

• 0-2-years of demonstrated laboratory experience
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office products - word, excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols, make good observations, pay attention to details, and record detailed notes / data
• Ability to communicate well in spoken and written English
• Comfortable and able to work with chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols.
• The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical field

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence: Formulation and synthesis of polymers
• Testing of adhesives.
• Evaluate, collect and record data.
• Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook.
• Uses a computer to enter data/information including charts and tables for communication of project results/details.
• Involved in making adhesives from chemical ingredients.
• Prepares coated samples using lab coating equipment and tests performance characteristics of coated substrates using established procedures.
