Library Technician I-Technical Services
Full-Time
$14.47/Hour

Duties:

• Perform duties in the Montana Tech Library Technical Services Department including the preparation, organization and processing of items for access by library patrons. 
• Collection maintenance and preservation. 
• Cataloging and processing of library resources. 
• Management of the map and government documents collection. 
• Assist with the management of Montana Tech’s institutional repository-Digital Commons
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High school Diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
• Commitment and demonstrated ability to cooperate in a team environment and maintain effective and respectful working relationships with all library personnel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with digitization best practices
• Experience working in a library
• Supervisory experience
• Demonstrated commitment to public service
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Interest in learning and mastering specialized library specific software and emerging technologies

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and push carts loaded with library resources
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
