Our client, a growing and reputable food manufacturer, is seeking a hands-on and experienced 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of 10–15 maintenance technicians. In this leadership role, you will ensure all production equipment, utilities, and facility systems are properly maintained to meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, coach, and coordinate the activities of 10–15 maintenance technicians on 2nd shift.
Prioritize and assign work orders, PMs, and emergency repairs to minimize production downtime.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and food safety/quality standards (GMP, SQF, etc.).
Collaborate with production, sanitation, and quality departments to support operational goals.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues on high-speed packaging and processing equipment.
Qualifications:
5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting; food industry preferred.
2+ years of supervisory or lead technician experience.
Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work 2nd shift and occasional weekends or holidays as needed.
