**Details** + **Department: Lab** + **Schedule: FLOAT position. This person will cover all 12 clinic labs. Hours between 7am-530pm Mon-Fri. Weekend rotation of 1 in 8 weekend Saturday only 7am-12pm and one in 24 Sundays only 7am-12pm. Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance, location and salary range at the time of the offer._ **Responsibilities** Collect and process blood specimens for testing and perform multiple clerical and processing functions. + Set up instruments. Maintain, clean, and sterilize equipment and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures. + Receive, centrifuge, accession, process and transport specimens. Verify all related records. May draw and collect blood samples according to policy. + Order add-on tests, work pending lists, and resolve duplicate orders. + Perform clerical duties which may include answering phones, reviewing EKGs, collecting patient demographic data for patient registration, ordering tests, reviewing Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage (ABN), data entry and filing. **Requirements** Licensure / Certification / Registration: + BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Certification specializing in Phlebotomy credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred. + Phlebotomy Tech preferred. + Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred. + Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) preferred. + Tech credentialed from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians preferred. All issuing authorities accepted.
