Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Troy is hiring a Middle School Math Teacher. The successful candidate is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction in mathematics for grades while integrating Catholic values and promoting the spiritual, academic, and personal growth of students.
Plan and deliver daily math lessons aligned with curriculum standards and Catholic educational goals.
Teach courses such as Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and general math to middle school students.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
Create a classroom environment that fosters respect, collaboration, and a love of learning.
Incorporate technology, manipulatives, and real-world applications into instruction.
Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with students, parents, and administrators.
Participate in school liturgies, prayer, and faith formation activities as a faculty member.
Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular initiatives, student support, and school-wide events.
Maintain accurate records and follow school and diocesan policies, including classroom management and grading procedures.
Supervise students in and outside the classroom as needed, including lunch, recess, and field trips.
Bachelor’s degree in Education or Mathematics required; teaching credential preferred.
Practicing Catholic preferred; must support the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to integrate faith, critical thinking, and creativity into instructional practices.
Completion of diocesan Safe Environment training and background check required.
