Safety Driver – Autonomous Vehicle Operations
Location: Local in Austin, TX
Company: A Leading Developer in the Autonomous Vehicle and Delivery Robot Industry
Assignment Length: 12-month contract
Schedule & Pay:
AM Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | $20 – $25/hour
PM Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM | $24 – $28/hour

Seeking attentive and detail-oriented Safety Drivers to join!
As a Safety Driver, you will
This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology that is shaping the future of mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate autonomous vehicles to collect data on performance and environmental factors.
Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and ensure system readiness.
Monitor vehicle systems in real time and provide detailed reports.
Interact professionally with engineers, operations leaders, and test riders.
Respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected events or road hazards.
Maintain a high level of alertness and avoid distractions at all times.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of U.S. driving experience with a valid driver’s license .
Clean driving record (no DUIs or drug/alcohol offenses in the past 5 years).
Proven ability to drive safely under varied road and weather conditions.
Strong knowledge of local Austin traffic regulations .
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
High degree of personal responsibility and professionalism.
Experience in one of the following is required :
Autonomous vehicle operation
Driving instruction
Motorsports (e.g., ATVs, Side-by-Sides, dirt bikes)
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with vehicle technology and control systems
Certification in safe or defensive driving
Data collection experience using technical tools
Additional training in safety or defensive driving
