Expanding, comprehensive pain practice is seeking nurse practitioner/ physician's assistant to evaluate new and established patients. This is an opportunity to develop your own patient practice with intermittent but regular physician collaboration. This is a predominately procedural and operative pain management clinic. Low dose medication options assist patients with their pain complaints.
You will be responsible for the efficient and accurate evaluation, interpretation, diagnosis, and treatment of painful conditions. You will have the opportunity to manage medications, recommend and coordinate ancillary care including physical therapy or specialty consultation, order of urine drug screens, radiographic and serologic studies, and determine suitability for operative and interventional pain therapies. The successful candidate will become comfortable safely prescribing controlled substances and monitoring compliance with the North Carolina Controlled Substances Database.
The candidate can be trained to independently perform procedures such as trigger point and joint injections. Our fellowship trained physicians will train/mentor the selected applicant.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective member of a health care team. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with members of the healthcare team. Ability to establish/build relationships with referring providers.
Requires graduation from a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program approved by the NC Board of Medical Examiners.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program allowing licensure as an Advanced Practice Provider in the state of North Carolina. Board certification/eligible if required by applicant’s degree granting governing body.

Compensation:
Final compensation dependent upon experience, negotiable.
Scheduled Hours:
Monday through Friday between 8-5, no weekends, no holidays, no call.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
