Position Overview  

The part-time Bookkeeper and Office Manager will work both independently and also in collaboration with the Operations team to maintain the clerical duties of Quandary Consulting Group. The primary function of this role will be bookkeeping with some additional administrative responsibilities. This will be a hybrid role, with the opportunity to work from home but also with the requirement to work in the office when necessary to complete a small checklist of office management duties. An ideal candidate will be flexible to work approximately 15 – 20 hours per week initially, with the potential to build up to 29 hours/week if responsibilities build and require that amount of time worked.

Will Report To: Operations and Talent Manager 

Responsibilities Will Include 

Bookkeeping responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable email inboxes and perform functions as needed 
  • Apply cash receipts 
  • Record cash disbursements 
  • Manage the company apparel online ordering system and track payments 
  • Review invoices 
  • Save invoices to SharePoint and post in Deltek/Vantagepoint (ERP) 
  • Work in collaboration with Services to maintain records in Deltek 
  • Provide backup assistance with payroll on limited basis 

Office management responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Execute mailing/shipping duties 
  • Order office supplies if necessary   
  • Receive company hardware being returned to office 
  • Order and ship employee and client gifts  
  • Maintain and e-file documents 
  • Assist in planning and execution of company’s annual team bonding trip

What You’ll Bring to the Role  

  • 2-3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role preferred 
  • At least 1 year of experience in an administrative/office management role is required 
  • Knowledge of accounting functions 
  • 1-2 years of experience utilizing ERP software 
  • Knowledge of or experience using Deltek Vantagepoint preferred  
  • Knowledge of basic accounting functions 
  • Strong computer literacy (i.e. navigation of standard MS programs) 
  • Strong ability to utilize Excel
  • Demonstrated on-the-spot problem-solving skills
