Job Title: Technical Product Owner (TPO) - Hybrid (Onsite/Atlanta)

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Technical Product Owner (TPO) with a strong technical background, preferably in Java, Rest API Microservices architecture, and UI frameworks (React/Angular). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a Product Owner in similar technical environments and a deep understanding of managing product development processes in an Agile framework.

As a Technical Product Owner, you will be leading a team of Java Springboot backend developers and UI developers to deliver large and complex Microservices applications. You will work closely with technology leadership, senior managers, and development teams to identify requirements, define features, and ensure successful product delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Java Springboot backend developers and UI developers to deliver complex Microservices applications.
• Collaborate with leadership and senior managers to gather requirements, convert them into features, and define acceptance criteria.
• Guide the Scrum Master and development teams in defining user stories, story points, and the product backlog.
• Own the product end-to-end, including the roadmap at the technology/functional level.
• Collaborate with leadership, Scrum Master, and developers to identify technical and non-functional requirements, translating them into actionable features and user stories.
• Conduct product demos and actively drive backlog grooming sessions with the Scrum Master.
• Provide guidance to API and UI developers on best practices for designing, implementing, testing, and deploying APIs.
• Ensure end-to-end ownership of custom API solutions, communicating risks, issues, and project progress to leadership.
• Present program-level status updates to leadership.

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

• 8+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 4+ years as a Product Owner, preferably in Java, Rest API Microservices architecture, and UI frameworks.
• Solid experience in Agile software product development .
• Strong skills in requirements elicitation and the ability to write clear, concise documentation for diverse audiences.
• Expertise in Agile backlog/project management tools (Jira, Jira Align, GitHub).
• Proficiency in developing Initiatives, Features, and User Stories for DevOps teams.
• SAFe PO/PM certification or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with AWS , cloud deployments, and pipeline deployments is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience in guiding teams through the full product development lifecycle.

Mandatory Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in a Java Microservices environment.
• Ability to own the product end-to-end and manage the roadmap at the technology/functional level.
• Proficiency in Agile backlog/project management tools .
• Experience with Jira, Jira Align, GitHub tools.

Location & Work Schedule:

• Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)
• Onsite Requirement: Yes (3 days onsite per week)

Certifications:

• SAFe PO/PM certification or equivalent (preferred).
