Now hiring a qualified RN, Registered Nurse for a Psychiatric Hospital in Kansas.

No psychiatric nursing experience needed. Orientation includes 2 weeks of paid training and CPI Certification at no cost. New Grads welcome to apply!!

20 miles south of Great Bend, KS. Local candidates welcome to apply at local rate.

RN Travel Pay:

• $2,110 weekly gross working 36 hours
• Overtime available
• Weekly direct deposit
• Benefits available; Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K

Psych RN scope of work:

• Responsibilities include a combination of direct patient care, medical management, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the well-being and recovery of patients.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and mental health, which includes observing behavioral changes, symptoms, and responses to medications.
• Regularly check patients' vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.) to ensure physical health is stable, especially since many psychiatric medications can have physical side effects.
• Administer prescribed medications, including psychiatric medications (antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, etc.), and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions. They also educate patients about their medications.
• Respond to psychiatric emergencies, including agitation, self-harm, or violent outbursts. They help de-escalate situations, provide support, and, when necessary, collaborate with security or other medical staff.
• Developing and Implement individualized treatment plans that address both the mental health and physical needs of the patients. They collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other team members.
• Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive treatment approach.
• Maintain detailed patient records, including assessments, interventions, progress notes, and any changes in condition. This documentation is essential for continuity of care and legal purposes.

• ASAP start date

• 26 week direct contract with a high potential to extend.
• 12 hour shifts - must be flexible

Psych RN Qualifications:

• KS or Multistate RN license.
• 1-2 years of Psych / Behavioral Health / Mental Health experience required.
• BLS or ability to obtain.
• Clean background check upon hire.
