Job Summary:
The NIH -funded Brien laboratory is seeking an enthusiastic scientist to study the immunological response and pathogenesis of viral infections. We ask fundamental questions about viral infections and vaccination to understand how and why individuals get sick, and how to protect them. Our laboratory uses in vitro and in vivo approaches to understand infection and disease. Techniques include molecular biology, protein biochemistry, cell/tissue culture, flow cytometry, and mouse models of infection. Attention to detail, and strong communication skills are important. Interest and dedication to hands on learning of these techniques is critical. You will be a critical member of a research team, where you will be provided with the mentorship and resources to grow and be successful.
