Senior Interior Designer Job in New York, NY

Senior Interior Designer job available in New York, with a leading firm specialising in commercial interiors, workplace strategy, interior architecture, and branded environments. Due to a growing project pipeline, they're hiring a Senior Interior Designer with a salary of $120,000-$135,000, plus hybrid working, bonus potential, 401(k), and additional benefits.

With over 60 years of experience and a national presence, this firm of 80+ creatives deliver architectural planning, interior design, and brand development for commercial projects of all scales. The team is focused, collaborative, and driven to deliver high-quality work across the workplace and commercial sectors.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of design, from concept through to completion
• Concept design and development, including mood boards, spatial assessments, renders, and design packages
• On-site assessments and client meetings
• FF&E selection, specification, and budget management
• Millwork detailing and specifications, reviewing and signing off on shop drawings
• Mentoring and leading junior members of the team
• Liaising with consultants and vendors.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree qualified, or higher, in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or similar
• 12+ years within corporate interior design
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator), and MS Office
• Experience creating and understanding project documentation
• FF&E experience
• Knowledge of building codes and ADA requirements
• Licensure or CID, IIDA, ASID, LEED, preferred but not required.
