Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer Location: New Orleans, LA 70129 Area Code: 504 Pay Rate: $50.00-60.00/hour Shift: 1st Employment Type: Direct, Full Benefits #AerospaceJobs #Mentorship #ManufacturingEngineering Job Summary: Belcan is seeking a skilled Lead & Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support overall delivery of a high-profile aerospace manufacturing project (i.e. work instructions, build plans, shipside support). You will be leading technical training, optimizing processes, and developing junior manufacturing engineering talent. Job Duties:

• Develop, review, and maintain manufacturing work instructions and process drawings.
• Utilize and support advanced manufacturing systems, model-based definition tools, and engineering documentation.
• Document and manage non-conformance issues and support MRB processes.
• Collaborate with planners to create operational plans and in-process documentation.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and support root cause corrective actions (RCCA).
• Support Belcan status reporting and weekly governance with client points of contact

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace/Defense Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of aerospace manufacturing experience with OEM or large-scale programs.
• Proficient in Production ERP, CAD tools and model-based definition systems (e.g., Catia V5/3DX, NX, Enovia).
• Experience authoring/reviewing/approving work instructions, process drawings, and leading shop floor training.
• Strong team leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with MRB documentation and non-conformance resolution.
• Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Prior experience supporting major aerospace programs at complex assembly facilities.
• Familiarity with Boeing systems including MESci, PSDS, CMES, REDARS, and Enovia.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Previous leadership in training or mentoring junior engineers.
• Security clearance or ability to obtain clearance if required.

Salary guidelines for similar roles at Belcan are $50.00-60.00 per hour.
