Salary Range:

$111,000.00 - $145,000.00

What’s the role?

We are looking for an SEO Manager to join our SEO team at Etsy in Brooklyn! This position will be pivotal in shaping and driving Etsy’s global SEO strategy, with a focus on driving initiatives that grow organic visibility and create significant value for our buyers and sellers.

You’ll play a crucial role in defining team goals, owning impactful projects, designing tailored solutions, and contributing to the overall Growth Marketing team culture. Your efforts will help craft the future of our SEO program, and you’ll strengthen Etsy’s marketplace experience for our buyers and sellers worldwide.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Director, SEO. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. 

This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Own objectives and drive your learning agenda at a rapid pace while supporting our global SEO strategy.

  • Analyze in-house data to identify trends, diagnose issues, and measure impact of SEO changes.

  • Guide the development of internal SEO tools that support the scale and growth of the SEO program.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data science, product, engineering, design, and performance marketing, to align efforts and enhance impact.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on SEO, proactively sharing insights, ideas, and recommendations across the business while staying up-to-date on industry trends.

  • Maintain and update the SEO knowledge base, including test results, processes, and reference materials.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

  • A strong problem solver who thrives on solving sophisticated challenges in collaboration with partner teams.

  • 5+ years of SEO experience, ideally for large-scale platforms or marketplaces, and a background in data-driven, technical marketing, consulting, or similar fields.

  • Strong understanding of product development processes, testing methodologies, and SEO techniques across technical, content, and international.

  • Proficiency with SQL, BigQuery, and SEO tools like Botify, Screaming Frog, or Ahrefs.

  • Fundamental understanding of HTML, Schema markup, CSS, JavaScript, and Page Rendering.

  • Experience deploying Generative AI solutions with measurable business impact, preferably using Google Gemini or OpenAI models.

  • Comfortable communicating technical findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical partners.

  • Passionate about knowledge-sharing to set the standard for SEO excellence across the organization.
