Job Description

Our Service Leaders are included in our tip pool and earn some of the highest hourly rates in the industry.

We provide continuous cannabis education and are looking for team members who are curious about the science of cannabis. We are committed to our culture of learning and sharing what we learn with our customers and each other. If you don't have cannabis experience and you love taking care of people we'd love to talk. We have Service Leaders instead of Supervisors because we are committed to providing the most exceptional service and experience in the industry. We are committed to connecting with each customer, understanding what they want to get from cannabis and making recommendations based on our knowledge and experience. Requirements

  • Managing all shift activity on the sales floor for a team of 10-30
  • Promptly and professionally handling customer service requests
  • Counting cash drawers for accuracy
  • Performing opening and closing checklists and reports
  • Keeping store shelves properly stocked and merchandised
  • Assisting with in-store promotions
  • Monitoring the store for loss prevention and cannabis compliance requirements (training provided)
  • Problem solving POS and system issues as they arise

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Cannabis industry experience is NOT a requirement but will move candidates to priority consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail, hospitality, lodging or front-line customer service
  • Age 21 or over
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to customer service
  • POS experience
  • Ability to independently problem solve technical issues
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Willing to work long days and weekends with a flexible work schedule
  • Experience with retail point of sale systems and cash handling
  • Google suite, Microsoft Word/Excel experience a big plus
  • A sincere interest in learning about cannabis and the industry, and inspiring the team to do the same
  • Professional and personable
  • Positive, can-do attitude, solution-based thinker, organized and results-driven
  • Team player, willing to do everything to support your co-workers and customers
  • A genuine interest in helping people

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Rate: $23-$26 / Hour +Tips (Tips are currently averaging an additional $5 to $6 an hour)

(E) You attended a school under the jurisdiction of the San Francisco or Oakland Unified School District for five years, either consecutively or in total, during the period 1971-2016; or

(F) During the period of 1971-2016, you lived for at least five years, either consecutively or in total, in San Francisco or Oakland census tracts where at least 17% of the households had incomes at or below the federal poverty level, as determined by the Director.
