UNCOMN is seeking a Software Tester to:

  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test plans, cases, and scripts covering functional, regression, performance, integration, user acceptance, and operational testing.
  • Collaborate with developers to build, maintain, and enhance automated tests using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
  • Analyze requirements to create effective test strategies, set up and maintain test environments, and manage test data.
  • Identify, log, and track defects through resolution, ensuring fixes are verified and quality standards are met.
  • Actively contribute to team meetings and design reviews with quality-focused insights.
  • Document test results, integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and deliver clear quality metrics and reports.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or an additional four (4) years of related experience.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance, granted by the US Government, which requires US citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual's eligibility.
  • Must be comfortable and willing to satisfy DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) certification/education requirements for Testing and Evaluation Specialist (671).
  • Familiarity with SDLC, testing methodologies, and QA tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Active Secret clearance granted by the U.S. government.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control, and hands-on experience with automated testing tools like Selenium or JUnit.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., NIST, Section 508) or quality frameworks (e.g., ISO, CMMI).
  • Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or Agile-related QA credentials.
