THE POSITION

Lebanon County Children & Youth Services is actively seeking a Casework Supervisor to round out our staff. This is a challenging and very rewarding position. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a County Casework Supervisor, it is essential you have direct knowledge of laws and regulations which govern child welfare services and ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations and Agency policies and procedure. Your responsibilities include ensuring that all required documents are completed timely and that all services are being provided to clients. This position reviews and schedules all petitions for Court Reviews and completes required forms both accurately and timely. You will have the opportunity to oversee the training and approval of new foster parents, foster home evaluations, and re-evaluations, assuring compliance with all State and Federal requirements and regulations. You will be expected to maintain reports, statistics, data, and summaries to prepare budget.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.


Other Requirements:

  • This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver’s license which is not under suspension.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions


Legal Requirements:

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
