Description
Maintains receiving, and warehousing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security and safety procedures and protocols.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
Ensure supervisors and employees adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping requirements
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
Plan work rotations, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
Assure that a safe work environment is maintained, and employees follow safety procedures
Confer with supervisors and managers to coordinate operations and activities
Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs
Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results
Determine standards, budgets, production goals, and rates, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workload
