Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Attorney to support our nationally-recognized Advertising, Marketing & Promotions practice. This position has a lower annual billable hour requirement, offering a competitive compensation structure and a collegial, supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate a variety of marketing-related agreements, including ad agency, influencer, celebrity endorsement, sponsorship, and online media buying contracts.
  • Review advertising content to ensure compliance with laws related to false advertising, claim substantiation, intellectual property, and right of publicity.
  • Provide counsel on contest and sweepstakes compliance, price advertising, recurring subscription programs, and loyalty/rewards programs.
  • Advise clients on advertising and marketing strategies that comply with complex and rapidly changing state, federal, and international regulations.
  • Lead and manage a team of attorneys and collaborate with clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies in industries such as retail, entertainment, gaming, software, internet, food and beverage, and advertising.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in advertising law, consumer protection law, and marketing transactions.
  • Experience with false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division dispute work is a plus.
  • Strong academic credentials and exceptional legal writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in a large or medium law firm setting is preferred but not required.
  • Admission to the WA State Bar or willingness to apply is preferred but not required.

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance, personal medical and parental leave, up to ten paid Holidays, and family care benefits.

Compensation range: $180,000 to $205,000 annually. Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
