Materials Logistics Manager  

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Materials Logistics Manager located in

General Description:

The Materials Logistics Manager reports to the Project Materials Manager and is a key member of the Materials Management team at Venture Global  Calcasiue Pass Liquified Natural Gas (CPLNG).  The position will be responsible for managing shipments of materials and equipment between offsite, site laydown and warehouse locations.  The position is based in the Lake Charles/Cameron area, with some travel required between the site and offsite laydown areas.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a strong understanding of the project supply chain flows into and out of the site.
• Work with Onsite and Offsite Materials Managers to ensure that transportation asset utilization is maximized.
• Lead a team of coordinators to ensure that materials are transported and staged to meet the demands of the construction team.
• Ensure that material and equipment is transported safely to the drop-off location.
• Oversee daily transportation asset operations, including vehicle maintenance, repairs, inspections, and scheduling.
• Develop and implement comprehensive policies and procedures to enhance fleet efficiency, safety, and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations related to vehicle operations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Analyze fleet performance data and implement improvements to increase reliability and reduce costs.
• Build good working relationships with key stakeholders

Qualifications:

Education and Certifications

• Education or Certification

Experience:

• Minimum 6 years logistic management experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role – Power generation and LNG plant construction project experience is preferred
• Experience working at a construction site in a transportation/supply chain related role

Skills:

• Excellent supervisory and communication skills with an established history of leading a team on a construction project.
• Experienced user of material management tracking software/RFID technology
