About the Role
As a People & Culture Business Partner, you'll play a key role in supporting team members and leaders in a dynamic, seasonal environment. Based in East Glacier during the season, you'll have the option to reside on the west side during the winter. Housing is provided in East Glacier, and if you choose not to reside there, you'll need to be present at our East Side properties at least four days per week.

Salary: $55,000-$60,000 per year

What You'll Do
Business Partnership
Hold regular one-on-one meetings with business leaders to stay informed about team needs and challenges.
Communicate updates on People & Culture (P&C) tools and processes to keep teams informed and engaged.
Engagement & Recognition
Lead the annual team engagement survey and action planning to enhance workplace satisfaction.
Promote and champion employee recognition programs, providing feedback for continuous improvements.
Employee Relations
Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns, providing guidance to leaders on resolving issues at the unit level.
Conduct thorough investigations into sensitive matters and ensure fair and timely resolutions.
Support managers in handling concerns effectively in collaboration with the Director of People & Culture.
Recruiting & Onboarding
Support seasonal and year-round staffing needs, working with the Talent Acquisition team to attract top candidates.
Lead the recruitment process for attraction management roles.
Train and support hiring managers on interview best practices and selection tools.
Ensure a smooth and engaging onboarding experience for all new hires in partnership with the People & Culture and Operations teams.
Performance Management
Lead the annual performance review process, educating leaders and ensuring high participation rates.
Address performance issues through coaching, feedback, and corrective actions as needed.
Training & Development
Participate in and recommend training initiatives based on identified skill gaps.
Support team member growth through succession planning and leadership development.
Compliance & Best Practices
Stay up to date on labor laws and industry regulations in the U.S., Alaska, and Montana.
Balance legal compliance with operational and business needs.
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred (or equivalent real-world experience).
HR Experience: At least 3 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in travel, hospitality, or leisure industries.
HR Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR best practices and U.S. labor laws.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to research, analyze, and provide thoughtful recommendations.
Collaboration: A relationship-builder who thrives in a team environment.
Certifications: SHRM-CP or HRCI-PHR certification is a plus but not required.
