R&D Partners is seeking to hire a Research Associate II in South San Francisco, CA .
Your main responsibilities as a Research Associate II:
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic intern to join the Molecular Biology Technology Development team to explore cutting-edge molecular techniques and genome engineering technology.
This individual will work closely with members of the group to design and execute experiments, analyze and interpret data, and communicate findings with the company research community.
Responsibilities may include molecular and genome engineering techniques such as; sequence design, synthetic gene assembly/cloning, PCR, IVT, NGS, mammalian cell culture, transfection, flow cytometry and protocol troubleshooting, while maintaining sterile lab techniques and lab safety compliance.
The candidate is expected to be agile, collaborative and eager to contribute to a fast-paced, evolving research program.
What we are looking for in a Research Associate II:
A self-motivated candidate with a MS/PhD in the Biological Sciences (Genetics, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genome Engineering, or a related field) with 1+ years of work experience in a relevant industry or academic setting.
Practical expertise with basic molecular biology techniques (sequence design, cloning, PCR, qRT-PCR) and mammalian primary and immortalized cell line culture (sterile techniques, transfection/electroporation, cell-based assays).
Experience with sequence/data analysis platforms and/or programming languages such as Benchling, Snapgene, FlowJo, R, Python, etc. desirable.
Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and will be required to analyze and present data at team meetings.
The candidate should be team-oriented, highly organized and eager to learn new skills.
