WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Develops, leads, manages, and motivates staff.

• Monitors staff performance, works with Human Resources on issues, works with employees to implement goals and document progress.

• Determines settlement cash requirements and maintains appropriate cash balances.

• Manages and reviews the preparation of cash flow forecasts, investment portfolio performance analysis and other financial reports.

• Oversees movement of any excess settlement cash to and from the corporate banking structure.

• Identifies foreign exchange and interest rate exposures and recommends hedging transactions to senior management.

• Researches and recommends investment options available for short-term cash positions to senior management.

• Partners with IT, Finance, Settlement Operations, and Legal to establish efficient and cost-effective flow of funds.

• Maintains relationships with bank group, card schemes, vendors, etc.

• Other related duties assigned as needed.

THE EXPERIENCE THAT YOU WILL BRING

• Manage a team of both direct and indirect tax professionals, ensuring compliance with global tax laws and regulations.

• Oversee all aspects of the non-US income and indirect tax returns and related audits; work closely with US Tax Operations leader to ensure proper reporting under ASC740.

• Oversee, under the direct of the US Tax Operations leader, the design, implementation, and maintenance of tax governance processes & controls for the non-US jurisdictions.

• Build and maintain good working relationships with tax authorities (HMRC)

• Lead and/or assist with global tax planning efforts, with a focus on the tax optimization of the global footprint.

• Proactively monitor the development of changes in tax laws and regulations and advise business and tax leadership accordingly.

• Ensure necessary intercompany agreements and transfer pricing documentation is maintained.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure tax implications are considered in business decisions.

• Assist with global M&A projects.
