Postdoctoral Associate positions are available to study circuits in the prefrontal cortex, thalamus, striatum and related brain regions. Research projects involve studying different cell types, assessing local and long-range connectivity, determining how circuits are reorganized by experience, and assessing their functional roles during behavior. Experiments combine slice and in vivo electrophysiology, two-photon imaging, optogenetics, and behavior, taking advantage of new genetic and optical tools.
In compliance with NYC?s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $58,500 - $65,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer .
PhD in Neuroscience or related discipline, as well as experience with electrophysiology, imaging, or behavior.
